Stepnote.co.uk Seeks 1,500 Music Tutors By Christmas
Aims for a perfect match between students and teachers
23rd November 2007, London - Stepnote, (www.Stepnote.co.uk) the new service which matches music students to their perfect music teacher, is seeking 1,500 music tutors to ensure that it can meet demand for its newly launched service.
"Stepnote aims to guarantee that whatever instrument or style of music a student wants to learn they can be matched to a teacher with the right skills and experience. To achieve this across the country our goal is to register details of over 1,500 tutors by Christmas." says Rune Sovndahl of Stepnote.
The Stepnote service tackles a key problem faced by music teachers, getting the right enquiries. All too often advertisements in directories generate calls which just ask basic questions about skills, genre and experience – these cost valuable teaching time. By using personal matching technology to display validated details of tutors who meet a pupil's needs Stepnote only connects students with teachers who are equipped to take them to the right level. By charging a small fee to students for making their first booking with a tutor Stepnote assures the student is serious about their lessons and eliminates nuisance contacts and marketing calls.
In addition to matching music teachers for one on one lessons Stepnote also enables teachers to submit details of courses or events which they are running and to take on-line bookings – opening up a new options for music education.
The Stepnote Team
The Stepnote team believe that learning and being able to play an instrument at a higher level will benefit everyone, from young to old. "We strongly believe that music should be taught from a young age and that children who learn to play an instrument will achieve a higher rate of learning, buoyed by a sense of achievement. Learning to play music develops concentration together with an improved sense of hearing and rhythm that are valuable throughout many parts of life." Says David Djarnel
