Music Teacher Scams

12 August, 2008

We often get an email like this "Hello, My name is Henry Cole, divorced,aged49yrs, I am from 52 North 10th street San Jose C A 95112,my son Mark will be coming for an holiday at your location this month and i want him to be busy through out an educating lesson or the other.. Therefore, i just want to know maybe he can always come to you and teach him great things 3times in a week. If this is possible,i will want you to get back to me with the cost of your teaching . Henry" These emails are scams, you wont get these scams when you have signed up with stepnote.co.uk, as all our students have to register and these scammers don't tend to be able to sign up as it's often mail robots. The best way to avoid being scammed like this, is to ignore emails where peopel ask for your bank account details so they can send you the money for their son, or daughter to sign up for three months courses etc.
