Privacy on Stepnote

14 November, 2007

Stepnote have a more sophisticated view of privacy than most of our competitors who happily display your, email, telephone number and address openly on their websites. If you have been following the news lately you should be aware that having what seems like mundane detials online, can be a security risk.

Stepnote doesn't display any personal details before a match is made and both the student and teacher have accepted. We only show the first 3 digits of your post code, we don't show your name, address, email, telephone number or any other personal information on our website.

The information we show you can see by searching for yourself as a teacher.

We recommend you ask to have your details deleted from websites who post your email, name and telphone number and address without letting you qualify who sees it.
